CALM Meeting minutes from September 10, 2014:
Happy Birthday Girl Scouts! I am loving the attendance that we are receiving at our CALM meetings. For those who have attended, keep coming and bringing those fantabulous ideas. If you haven't attended, we meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month. Our next meeting will be held on May 14th. Here is a recap from our last meeting. - Kim Lincoln introduced some new faces to our Girl Scout Community. Mary Ella Douglas is the new Membership Director. Kathleen Karup is our new Annual Giving Manager. Felicia Ford and Tesi Stickland are our 2 new membership specialist in Community 3. Some events going on: - A Risk Management Session (required for all VST members) will be held on March 20th. Time - 6:30-8:30 p.m. at APFG. - Facilitator Training will be held on March 29th at the new Peninsula Service Center. Time - 10 - 4pm Registration for these courses can be completed using eBiz. - Community Orienteering Camp: The date changed. The new date is March 28-30th - We will be having an Adult Networking Event on April 6th (APFG, 4-6pm). There will be fun and friends. This event is FREE but you must RSVP. http://community3.rsvpify.com - Community Learning Event: The date is set for September 20th. We have a tentative location and some ideas. A pre-survey will be going out in the coming weeks to assess what the Community wants from this event. - "Cookie Classic" (January 31, 2015): The "Cookie Classic" features the "Trefoil Trek" 5K and the 1 mile "Samoa Stroll". This event can be a MAJOR money maker for our community. It will be open to the community (outside of Girl Scouts). The money raised from this event will go to planning future events, trainings and the Learning Event for Community 3. - An idea for future Community 3 events are the "Green & Gold" Banquet, celebrating all major Girl Awards earned that scouting year. i.e. Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, the Summit Award and such. There was some great discussion at our last CALM meeting. Thank you to everyone who attended. To recap . . .
